Christopher Columbus Arrival – 500 Nations – Native American – Part 1

Late OSU great Tatum became known for violent hit
COLUMBUS — He was called the “Assassin.”
Wild Mustang Horses in the American West
It is natural to believe that wild horses have "always" roamed the western United States, but that is simply not the case. Horses were native to North America until the end of the last Ice Age, years 10-12000, and then died.
He took the joint actions of Christopher Columbus and Hernán Cortés, to bring horses to North America. In 1493, Christopher Columbus brought horses from Spain to the West Indies during his second voyage to the Americas. In 1519, Spanish conquistador Cortez brought horses to the continent, as the captain of the expedition Spanish third.
The horses arrived in North America, through Mexico and Florida, as an instrument of the Spanish conquistadors and were used to great effect by Cortez in the defeat of the Aztec empire.
Many horses went mad after their riders were killed. Other horses escaped from their pens, and many more horses were integrated into Native American societies. In just a few decades, the horses had emigrated from Mexico and Florida and entered the North American interior.
The history of the American horse breeds
Almost all wild horses currently running in the ranges Western United States came from the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe, a region defined by the present-day Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Gibraltar.
The UN Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations indicates that there are 17 individual horse breeds can be defined as "Iberian horses." Three races hail from Portugal and the remaining 14 originated in Spain. Most of the Iberian horse breeds are considered baroque horses, composed in Most horses of Andalusia, Arab and Barb ancestry.
Many Native American tribes became master horse breeders, the More importantly, the Comanche, Shoshone, and Nez Perce nations. Through selective breeding by Native American tribes, the horse first truly American breed was the Appaloosa.
The wild horses of the western United States are actually more accurate to refer to horses who have gone "wild", or horses were domesticated once and now are wild. Just as there is a huge population of wild dogs near the cities of America, especially near Miami, Florida, also is a significant population of wild horses in America.
Freedom Horse final momentum necessary for the protection of Congress
In 1900, it was estimated that about two million horses loose in the United States. During the early twentieth century, the population was severely diminished loose horses through a combination of factors including the capture of horses for use in the army, and more disgusting by the companies that killed the horses for food for dogs.
By the 1970s, the fate of wild horses in the United States had attracted the attention of the U.S. Federal Government. This new focusing attention eventually led to the adoption of Freedom of Movement jungle Horses and Burros Act of 1971.
In recent years, it has been estimated by U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management that there are as many as 29,000 wild horses and burros on BLM-administered lands in ten western states. The Ten Western U.S. states that have wild horses running wild includes: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Wyoming.
It is estimated that more than half the population of wild horses in Nevada, and Montana and Oregon are the other states with large numbers of wild horses from the population. There are another few hundred head of wild horses that roam freely in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada.
Through the Wild Free-Roaming Horses , and Burros Act of 1971, the Bureau of Land Management has the responsibility to manage the number of wild horses and burros, to ensure that the flocks in the pastures grow up healthy healthy. Within the mandate of the BLM, which is responsible for managing the numbers of his herd of wild horses and burros that roam the American West.
The BLM horse wild and Burro Adoption and Sales Program
Wild horses left to their own genius, literally, can double their population in the short term of four years where drought and forest fires do not reduce their numbers naturally. The horses have no natural predators in the grasslands of North America so their numbers in general, it will run out of control without the intervention of the BLM.
The beauty of the 1971 Act is that, as the BLM horses and burros sacrifices of the wild population, horses and burros will be available for adoption and sale through BLM program to individuals and groups willing and able to provide human attention, long-term these beautiful animals.
For more information on the adoption of the purchase of horses or donkeys can be visit the website of the Bureau of Land Management at: title = "http://www.blm.gov" target = "_blank"> http://www.blm.gov or give them Call: (866) 4MUSTANGS. You can really contribute and purchase through feral horses the BLM program in the states of both sides of the Mississippi River. Sales held each year throughout the South, West and even in Illinois.

Christopher Columbus?
Why everyone thinks is so great? found no America if there were people who lived there already, and he thought that was India. and attempted genocide of Native Americans. not exactly the kind you learn in high school.
The "discovery" was a godsend for a Europe that is overpopulated, war-torn and threatened economically, spiritually and literally, by the Turks who had overthrown only the last vestige of the Roman Empire 39 years ago. The discovery of the "New World" led Europe at the height of his power (and U.S.) and made them the rulers of the world. A great historical victory for Europe all the way up today. Now, with a corporate despot for a president, parties politicians who care nothing for their constituates, churches who called corruption, sexual abuse, and outright lies, and radical Islam just beating his chest before blowing himself up, not to mention a government that is completely unreliable, the next batch of historians (you and me) will be fully cynical, and the first the similarity of its kind since the dawn of the era of enlightenment. Each and every one facsit of history is to be reexamined. The myths of antiquity that have survived the passage the time they are exposed. and the lives of so called "big" are being criticized, analyzed, and controlled at a level never seen before. However, even though Benjamin Franklin was a horrible husband and father, Alexander a tyrant, a temper that proleferaited politcial Constantine Christianity to nothing more than to gain power, and Columbus, Cortes, Hernandez and a group of thugs mercinary, their achievements and influence in history and our ability to maintain this forum at this time (in fact even to stopping breathing) can not be denied and are no less great. It is important that no matter how important our personal history, we see him in a realistic light from the perspective of good and ill.
